Excited to announce the first ever GIRLS head coach for the “Larry Luitjens Coach of Influence” award, Coach Terry Nelson of Britton-Hecla!
Coach Nelson will be receiving this honor at halftime of the third place game in Rapid City at the State B Tournament. Coach Nelson has proudly coached for 36 years. He embodies the #LoveLoudly label and has had an ongoing positive impact on his girls, his school and his community! Congratulations Coach Nelson!
Congratulations to the Britton Robotics team for an amazing state tournament! The boys placed 14th out of 28 teams after pool play. They entered bracket competition seeded 9th out of 12 pairings. They upset the 8th place pairing in their first round of bracket play, but lost to the 1st ranked team in their next round of competition. Go Big Red!

Britton-Hecla High School had the wonderful opportunity to have Senator John Thune come in and speak to Mr. Knebel's Contemporary World Issues Class and U.S History Class.
Jade was the student who inquired Senator Thune's office to come and speak to his class as part of an assignment for the Cont. World Issues Class!
Noah placed 7th in the Mathcounts Chapter Contest Individual Category and moved up to 4th place in the Countdown Round, qualifying him for State! He teamed up with Jaelee, Ruthie, and Chaz for 7th as a team.
