Description
Duties to Include:
1. Must carry cell phone at all times to enable communication with district staff.
2. Responsible for scheduling all duties of the custodial staff.
3. Responsible for the evaluations of all custodial staff.

4. Responsible for the approval of all hours worked or time records of custodial staff.
5. Coordinates the necessary furniture and equipment set up for events and/or activities.
6. Routinely inspects the facility and grounds, corrects, and reports any unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
7. Responsible for the administration of and frequent checks of all systems (fire, sprinkler, HVAC, etc.) as required by law and report any deficiencies found to the superintendent.
8. Follow all government regulations relating to building repair and maintenance.
9. Consult/Plan with superintendent or appropriate administration for maintenance of seasonal needs, such as snow removal, mowing, landscaping, playground, sprinklers, and athletic venues.
10. Direct the preparation of playing fields or courts for scheduled activities.
11. Coordinate efforts with the business manager to maintain an inventory control system and determine supply and equipment needs for building and ground maintenance.
12. Perform maintenance tasks in a timely manner as needed or as directed by the Administration.
13. Responsible for the locking/securing of the building with direct communication with the superintendent.
14. Understand and implement all safety procedures as required by the district.
15. Maintain all applicable safety records as it pertains to the position.
16. Promote a positive image of the Britton-Hecla School District.
17. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Frequent bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, stooping, turning, crawling, climbing, and crouching with repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. intermittently. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position. Ability to recognize equipment malfunction. Ability to
follow written and verbal direction effectively. Able to be on call holidays, extended days and weekend activities or assist other staff assigned to those tasks approved by the business office. Ability to work modified assignments as necessary. Adhere to District’s policies and procedures.
