District Patrons, it wasn't a matter of if but when the virus would reach our state. We are currently in contact with the State Department of Education, the Department of Health, and the Center for Disease Control and are following their guidelines. We are encouraged to, and have been, handling this like we would any other contagion. We do a thorough cleaning daily and nightly to try to limit the spread of germs. It is important to remember that there are simple ways to help limit the spread and lesson the likelihood of contracting the illness. Make sure your kids wash hands frequently, avoid touching high traffic areas, and avoid touching their mouth and face. The key is not to panic but to aggressively limit the possibility of transmission. If your child is sick please keep them home. The issue is not necessarily that your child is in school but rather where have they or their family been as far as travel. Thank you for your help in this matter.
