One Act Play Director
As a High School Theatre One-Act Play Director, you will play a vital role in nurturing the creativity and talent of high school students while overseeing the production of one-act plays. Your passion for theatre, excellent communication skills, and strong organizational abilities will be essential in creating a successful and memorable theatre experience for both students and the audience. Required Qualifications: Previous experience directing one-act plays or similar theatre productions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with culturally, economically, and socially divers community members Strong understanding of theatre production, including acting techniques, stage management, and technical aspects. Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and volunteers. Organizational and time management skills. A passion for educating and inspiring young artists. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in theatre, drama, or a related field. State teaching licensure Job Responsibilities: Produces and directs fall play for school and public performances. Organizes auditions for interested students, ensuring a fair and inclusive process. Evaluate and select actors. Discusses and demonstrates vocal and body expression to teach acting styles, character development, and personality projection. Coordinates rehearsals to accommodate students academic commitments, and provide guidance on acting techniques, blocking, and character development. Selects script for production in coordination with the principal and activities director. Assist in the promotion and marketing of the production to maximize audience attendance. Perform other related duties as assigned
Paraprofessionals
Applicants must have at minimum a high school diploma with some college experience preferred, but not required. Responsibilities include assisting students with special needs in classrooms, providing lessons or specialized instruction as directed by lead teacher, and monitoring student behavior.
Substitute Teachers/Paras/Food Service
We are hiring substitutes in all departments. Substitutes can pick and choose which openings or areas they'd be willing to fill in for as well as setting their own schedule. Non-certified subs are paid at a rate of $13/hr. (Para or Food Service) or $13/period (Teacher). Certified subs are paid at a rate of $125/day (or approximately $15.63/period when subbing for a Teacher) or $13/hr. (Para or Food Service.) Substitute Bus Drivers
To transport students to and from school and other sites within designated route(s) and to ensure the safety of the student passengers while in a school vehicle. This sub is responsible for the safe operation of a school bus and for ensuring the safety of student passengers while meeting established bus schedules. Typical duties: Drive a school bus along a route in accordance with time schedules; picking up and discharging students at designated stops; maintain order and proper discipline of student passengers according to district policy; conduct safety and operational inspection of assigned vehicle daily; report needed mechanical repairs when necessary; fill buses with gas or diesel fuel; maintain cleanliness of vehicle to ensure safe operating condition; operate a two-way radio. Bus drivers need a CDL with a bus driving endorsement. Pay is $40/route.
