Spirit Days: Show your school spirit and wear BLACK on Thursday to school and to the VB game on 9/24 and NEON "Glow" to school and the football game on 9/25.  Mrs. Dawson will count spirit points for 6-12th grades.


    Playground Note for parents, students, and community members:  During the school year, our school playground is used by our after-school program until 5:30 on weekdays.  During this time, it is not available for use by children outside of our program.  We appreciate your respect for our after-school program.   We are very proud of our playground and all of it’s improvements.  Please help us show our pride by keeping it free of trash and litter, and by following our rules regarding no pets or bikes on the playground.   There is a garbage can and bike rack on the playground, please make use of them.  Thank you!


    If you did not get a Jostens packet and you want one, please stop and see Mrs. Anderson.  Cap and gown orders for seniors and class ring orders for sophomores can be placed online.  They would like these placed by Friday.  


    Reminder to all:  Britton-Hecla school property, including the playground, is a tobacco free zone.


    Tuesday Sept. 22:  For those students 9-12th interested in the One Act Play and/or the spring All School Musical, there will be a short 10 minute meeting after school in the choir room.

    October ACT's:  We are offering it HERE on October 10 and October 24.  The registration deadline is September 25 for ALL October test dates as noted in the email from Mrs. Anderson. 


    Track athletes – Sign up for concessions for home VB game – Thursday, Sept 24th.  The sign up sheet is outside Mrs. Symens classroom.


    Our DX parking lot is a space many people are seeing, let's make sure we are proud of that view!  Please be keeping it picked up over there!

    The South Dakota Legislature is now accepting applications for junior and senior high school students to serve as pages during the upcoming 2021 South Dakota Legislative Session.  For information and applications please see Traci in the office.


    The Home BASE Backpack Program is available to all students K-12.  If you are interested please complete the application form that was sent home.  The application can also be found on the web page under the Food Services tab.  Completed applications can be returned to the school or mailed in.

    Presentation College Nurse for a Day Event

    Students 10-12th that are interested in Nursing are invited to the on-campus event - Nurse for a Day! This event will be held on October 15 or November 12, lunch is provided, and we’ll start around 10am and be done around 1pm.
